DAVAO CITY PHILIPPINES IS IT SAFE?

Davao City placed second in the list of top 10 Asian cities with lowest crime rate. Topping the list was Singapore while Valenzuela ranked third. With zero as “very low” and 100 as “very high,” Davao’s crime index was 17.93, while Valenzuela received a 28.32 rating. Singapore was rated at 17.36. In terms of safety, Singapore received a rating of 82.64, Davao 82.07 and Valenzuela 71.68.

So if you’re looking for a safe spot in The Philippines I would recommend Davao city for sure. Just remember life is life and yes things can happen, especially in a Country with a high poverty rate in many places. So be aware of your surroundings (but don’t be to bloody obvious) if you need to take cash out of the ATM do it inside the malls. All malls have Security Guards at the Entry’s and Exits and throughout as well.

Just Remember your a foreigner and you will stand out like dogs balls and to them you are rich(currency exchange rate) you can’t tell a Filipino you’re not rich because they will simply not believe you, due to the fact that what takes them months to accumulate you has just popped out of your wallet without a care.

Take enough with you for the day. ( learn about the exchange rate to get a better idea of this) Don’t wear Gold Chains and flash watchers, it just brings unwanted attention from unwanted people, and let’s face it, those type of people are everywhere in the world. To be safe you must act and think safe without portraying yourself as Victim.
