“ A ray of hope for humanity ’’

A mass-filled place --- food stalls placed in juxtaposition; fancy clothes displayed in flamboyance; masseurs giving their customers a comfort. You can see people walking to and where sunny emotions are visibly reflected on their faces. Until a defeaning explosion ruined the night in a mere second. What happened next is history.

The famous Night Market of Roxas,Davao City has experienced a horrendous terror on Friday, September 02, 2016. The incident was brought by the unknown terrorist whose aim is to combat with the administration and to inflict fear to humanity. The said atrocious act was done through bombing which spared 14 lives and injured 70 innocents.

It has been a night of tears for all Davaoeños last September 02,2016 after a terrorist attack graced the City of Davao. It has to be recalled that the said city was among the safest cities in the world and what just happened goes to show that not because Davao is one of the safest cities, doesn’t mean they are invulnerable.

Undeniable it is that the attack has changed massively not just the conformity of Davaoeños but the impact it brought to businessman.

Days after the Davao blast, the downfall f the entrepreneurs along Roxas Avenue is very vivid. Even though Mayor Sara Duterte said that Davaoeños should not live in fear, still the lackluster effect of the bombing caused people to stay in-house which affected the living of the Night Market masseurs and businessmen.

From vibrant and lively street, Roxas Avenue went to being serene --- in a seemingly unusual manner. It seemed to have lost its color and fun but people do believe that won’t take longer than a week. On the soonest time possible, Davao not to mention Roxas, Night Market, shall come back stronger and livelier.

With all that happened during the Davao blast, it may have caused mass destruction; or even it may have affected the lives of businessmen; still, our love for humanity continues and shall never cense. Davao will soon bring back the glory it deserves and so are for the people whose only intention is to earn a living through their small business and for the people who work hard for their family.
